| My name is Trae McNeely and I've been going to Advanced Aesthetics for the past 2 years with great results. I've never had acne problems but I've always had ingrown facial hair as a results of genetics. At first when I started growing facial hair it wasn't a problem. As I graduated high school and throughout college my mustache and other facial hair (chin, face, cheeks) became a nuisance because shaving wasn't solving the problem of my ingrown hair . I had bumps and unsightly scars because my ingrown hair was agitating my skin. I tried every shaving cream, razor, and also medical cream but nothing was working. One day I saw a commercial about Advanced Aesthetics and I thought I'd give them a call. They were polite, professional, licensed, and they had the only laser at the time to treat darker complexions. As a loyal customer and African American I highly recommend Advanced Aesthetics because they have a top-notch facility, lasers for different skin types, and the variety of treatments that can be performed on a moments notice. I've done my scheduled laser treatments and I like how my face looks when I wake up. Now, my face is smooth and I don't have to shave in the morning! This is also a time saver. I get complements all the type from friends, people at work, and also those who are curious. Also, I never started the laser treatment because I wanted a smoother face; I just wanted to get rid of my bumps. I was basically fighting my own genetics and the alternatives (creams, medication, etc) were not working but I have found the solution. The treatment only takes 15 minutes and I'm out and ready to start my day with virtually minimal side effects which is normal. When I tell people they look at my face in awe and surprisingly more men than women are curious about the cost, treatment, and its effectiveness. As a results of my many successful treatments I've sent several of my friends their way. They have nothing but positive things to say as well. |

Advanced Aesthetics was recommended to me a few years ago by a friend who had gone there for laser hair removal. It took me some time to do it, but I finally made an initial appointment for laser hair removal. I was a little apprehensive, but quickly felt at ease: the staff was absolutely wonderful. I have been suffering with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome for 25 years. The physical changes caused by PCOS-especially the thick facial hair-was embarrassing and made me feel less feminine. I tried every hair removal method I could find -waxing, creams and shaving. Most methods were expensive, inconvenient and ineffective. So 15 years ago I started shaving my face every day. I never wanted anyone-including my husband-to touch my face. Since there is not a cure for PCOS I thought I would have to shave my face for the rest of my life. I had heard about Laser Hair Removal, but I was skeptical whether or not it would work for me. Nonetheless, I chose Advanced Aesthetics because a local surgeon and my Endocronologist recommended their services. I came in and met with the doctor and told her I am a PCOS patient and she knew what it was, which surprised me and gave me a feeling of comfort that she understood my problems, both physical and psychological. She explained how the procedure worked and also how the the treatment would affect my PCOS symptoms. She did not promise me that the treatment would be 100% successful-she was realistic in her expectations that the treatment would decrease my facial hair growth and that I would need more than the average amount of treatments since PCOS would be the underlying cause of my increased facial hair. I decided to try the treatment-I figured I had nothing to lose. But I had no idea what I would actually gain! The treatment did remove my dark and coarse facial hair-but it also removed my feelings of decreased femininity and increased my self confidence! Four years later I am still having treatments-though now I only need a treatment about every three months-which is great (I color my hair more often than that!). I went from wearing a heavy pancake makeup to using a sheer liquid and now I am wearing a mineral powder foundation. |

I met Dr. Elder in our fitness center over 20 years ago and I knew I could trust his procedures and employees to work on me! After meeting Myka Wilcox I decided to start with microdermabrasion and vita-peel treatments. She was incredible at recommending the right blends for my skin. I also tried the monthly specials, such as the Foto-Facial, and I liked this treatment even more! Then I met Lauren McGehee, RN and after months of convincing me Fraxel would be excellent on my skin...I did this, too! I was so happy with the results of everything I have done at this clinic I tell everyone around me in the fitness center what I have been doing. I get a lot of compliments on what they see!
